Seminar on Government Digitalization and Service-Oriented Government Construction held

On the morning of June 8th, the "Government Digitalization and Service-oriented Government Construction Training Course" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by CIFAL Shanghai held its opening ceremony in Shanghai.

Ms. Liu Beimin, a senior researcher at the Foreign Economic Affairs Department of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Mr. Wang Genxiang, the director of CIFAL Shanghai, attended the class opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Ms. Nirmaladebie Mohan, an official from the Ministry of the Interior of Suriname, spoke on behalf of the seminar participants. The class opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Wu Yugang, Executive Deputy Director of CIFAL Shanghai.

Researcher Liu Beimin pointed out in his speech that in the face of the complex and ever-changing international situation, strengthening international cooperation plays a positive role in safeguarding and promoting the economic and social development of various countries, maintaining good international order, and safeguarding the common interests of people of all countries. As a member of a developing country, China is committed to its own modernization drive and attaches great importance to global development cooperation to promote global development and prosperity. Under the guidance of the concept of a Community of Common Destiny, China has helped developing countries implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through various forms of assistance. Adhering to the concept of "teaching people to fish", we share China's development experience, development plans, and development wisdom, impart advanced and practical technologies, and cultivate various talents for developing countries. Hundreds of thousands of students benefit from it, providing strong intellectual support for the economic and social development of developing countries. She hopes that the development and application of information technology in China, as well as its practical experience in government digitization construction, can bring beneficial inspiration and assistance to students in their own country's government digitization construction; I hope that the series of activities such as lectures, visits, and seminars arranged by the seminar will help students deepen their understanding and experience of China's economy, society, and traditional culture, and understand the true China. I hope they can share what they see, hear, and think and feel in China with their relatives and friends, and enhance friendship and cooperation between countries and China.

Director Wang Genxiang welcomed the students who participated in this training course, expressed gratitude for the strong support and comprehensive guidance provided by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for the smooth holding of the training course, and introduced the activity arrangement of the training course and the basic situation of CIFAL Shanghai. He pointed out that the "Seminar on Government Digitization and Service-oriented Government Construction" will introduce the development and governance of China's digital economy, share the experience of the Chinese government's Digital transformation and development, and enable students to understand the comprehensive application of Big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in the field of e-government and the process of service-oriented government construction, as well as China's beneficial exploration in the process of government Digital transformation. He hoped that through the study of the seminar, the participants would make efforts and contributions to the development and consolidation of solidarity and friendship between countries and China, as well as to the promotion and improvement of Digital transformation and service-oriented government building in their own countries.

Ms. Nirmaladebie Mohan first thanked the Ministry of Commerce of China for providing learning opportunities and the training center for its meticulous organization in her speech. She hopes to learn the experience of China's digital government construction, government Digital transformation, standard planning, comprehensive management and other fields through the seminar; Together with all the teaching teachers and experts from China, we will explore the new development and changes of digital government in the new era, look forward to the development trend of modern digital government, and contribute our modest efforts to the construction of our country's digital and service-oriented government. She also looks forward to a more comprehensive understanding of China in terms of politics, economy, history, culture, and customs, enhancing exchanges, promoting further cooperation between China and developing countries, and jointly creating a better future for the world.

At the end of the class opening ceremony, the guests and all the students took a group photo as a souvenir. This training course is the first offline multilateral course organized by CIFAL Shanghai in 2023. It will last for 21 days and will be attended by 36 students from 10 countries, including Suriname, Dominica, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Mongolia, Panama, Iraq, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Ghana.
