Training Course on Information Security Technology for Developing Countries was accomplished in Shanghai

The Training Class “Developing Country Information Security Technology” was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and hosted by CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre (hereinafter to be referred as CIFAL Shanghai), which ended on November 13th, 2012 in Shanghai with efforts of all the students and staff. The graduation ceremony was held on banquet hall of Shanghai Howard Johnson.
 

CHEN Yuehua, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization; SANG Qi, deputy secretary of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce; WANG Genxiang, director of CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre and other leaders attended and presented on the graduation ceremony. They warmly congratulated the success of training class and 26 students from 16 developing countries in Asia, Africa and Caribbean region to finish the class and get good scores. Meanwhile, they awarded the certificates and gifts to all the students.


Sheku Bahja Koroma, IT director of National Police Bureau from Sierra Leone, presented on the graduation ceremony on behalf of all the students. He sincerely thanked Chinese government to provide the training courses to developing countries and hard work of the CIFAL staff, and he expressed to promote and consolidate the unity and friendship between people of developing countries and Chinese people, to facilitate and improve the cooperation and communication between developing countries and Chinese information technology, and to make efforts for economic construction and city informatization development of developing countries. The students from Kenya, Sierra Leone and Palestine sent their handmade gifts to CIFAL to express their gratitude on behalf of all the students.


The two-month seminar was the first training class with the topic of information security technology by huge contents and long period. In order to ensure the success of the seminar, CIFAL Shanghai paid high attention on it. The seminar surrounded the theme “information security technology”. Through lectures, module study and visits, the students deeply knew the latest and future trends on today’s information security technology. Meanwhile, the seminar organized the students to take part in “2012 Global City Informatization Forum” and “Global CEO Conference”, which further expanded the students’ ideas, broadened the knowledge horizons, and shared the experiences and results of informatization and economic &social development in China, especially in Shanghai. On the exchange report meeting, all the students actively participated and interacted to share the study experiences and results. The seminar was welcomed and praised by all the participants.
