Global City Informatization Forum 2012 was held in Shanghai

Global City Informatization Forum 2012, was hosted by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs(UNDESA), United Nations Industrial Development Organization(UNIDO), International Telecommunication Union(ITU), United Nations Institute for Training and Rresearch(UNITAR), and Shanghai Internet Economy Consulting Center(SIECC) was held in Hilton Shanghai Hotel on October 29th, 2012. The Forum was organized by CIFAL Shanghai.

Mr. Xueshan YANG, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, P.R.China; Mr. Baojun AI, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government; Mr. Zukang SHA, Former Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations; Mr. Edward Clarence-Smith, Representative to the P.R.China from United Nations Industial Development Organization attended the forum and made a speech. The opening ceremony was presided by Mr. Haibo DAI, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization.

The theme of this forum was “Building the Smart City and Industrial Development for Sustainable Urbanization”. Over 20 countries and more than 300 delegates came to the Forum, and shared the Smart City construction and development’s experiences among China, the United States, Poland, Singapore, ect.
