Officials from Asian-Pacific City Summit Secretariat of Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center visited CIFAL Shanghai

Ms. Rumi ICHIBA, chief of Exchange Promotion Section of Asian-Pacific City Summit Secretariat of Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center visited CIFAL Shanghai, and the Project Official Ms. Mariko OZEKI, visited CIFAL Shanghai on March 1st 2012. Mr. Wu Yugang, the standing deputy director of CIFAL Shanghai, had a meeting and made a friendly conversation.

Both sides introduced the overview of their own organizations to each other, and the achievements gained on international cooperation programmes and events are admired. Cosponsored by CIFAL Shanghai, “Global City Informatization Forum” will be held in October 2012 in Shanghai. The Asian-Pacific City Summit Secretariat of Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center, Japan, is the sponsor of “Asia Pacific Cities Summit”, which was set up in the early 1990s, possessing 30 city members among China, Japan and Korea, among which 6 Chinese city members as Hong Kong and Shanghai are included. The “Asia Pacific Cities Summit” of this year will be held in July in Pohang, Korea. The attendance of each other to the two events are expected.

Besides, the experience and achievements of organizing and preparing the events was also discussed to change the views of both on topics of future cooperation on international communication programmes and events.
