The grand opening of 2010 Global City Informatization Forum was on 25th Sept in Shanghai International Convention Center. Mr. YANG Xiong, Executive vice Mayor of Shanghai, delivered a welcome remark. Mr. WAN Gang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology made the keynote speech. Ms. QIAN Haiyan, commissioned by Mr. SHA Zukang, United Nations Under-Secretary-General; Mr. ZHAO Houlin, Deputy Secretary General of ITU; Mr. YANG Xueshan, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology P.R.C presented speeches representatively. The forum is co-sponsored by UNDESA, UNDP, UN-HABITAT, UNIDO, ITU, UNITAR, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology P.R.C, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Association for Science and Technology, China Internet Association and Shanghai Municipal Government.
